Prerequisite: You must have experience in doing the Tunisian Simple Stitch.

Knitting Workshop

Instructor:  Gayle Holeton

Skill Level:  Advanced Beginner

Colorful knitting is where your own personal expression is displayed for the world to see.  In this workshop, Gayle will share fundamental techniques of knitting with 2 colors, color palette sense, pattern reading and even designing your own charts.  Participants will make a two color hat. The pattern will be included in the cost of the workshop.

 

Cost of the workshop is $40.00.

Bring a Friend and each come for $35.00

 

Bring to the workshop:

  • 2 skeins knitting worsted weight yarn, one solid color, one variegated.
  • Circular needles size 7 or 8 - 16” length.
  • Have a swatch knitted before class.  CO 24 sts.  Knit stockinette (Knit one row, Purl one row) for approximately 3” - do not Bind Off.
  •  Head measurement for the recipient of the hat, taken just above the ears.

Entrelac is one of those techniques that looks like it’s going to be complicated until you actually do it. People will think you somehow wove together a bunch of knitted bands, when you really did no such thing.  Debra will teach you how to knit Entrelac and make this colorful bag with 1 skein of variegated Marble Chunky.  Call to sign up and get the supply list – 10% off supplies.
